Para não ficar atrás do Chico, que anda cheio de vontade de escrever, aqui deixo mais um pedaço da história da música da última década. Illinois de Sufjan Stevens.
Sufjan Stevens, é um senhor que tem como grande marca, o seu "The Fifty States Project", cujo objectivo é criar um álbum dedicado a cada um dos 50 estados que compõem os EUA. Ambicioso no mínimo, penso que o título de genial será muito bem empregue se todos os exemplares tiverem a mesma qualidade que este. Se alguém não percebeu, eu deixo claro: este álbum é genial. Álbum conceptual, foca locais e personalidades do estado do Illinois (para os curiosos, é o estado da cidade de Chicago), aproveitando o autor como sempre para fazer um trabalho sobre a sua visão da fé, família e outros temas.
Só por curiosidade, foi considerado álbum do ano de 2005 por: Pitchfork, Amazon.com, Chris Willman e Richard Cromelin.
